About Us

Our Story

Co-Owner Bill Holesinger has farmed in Garden Plain Township since 1989, and in 1997 he began working at a local Christmas tree farm.  With his parents, Richard and Judy, they started Timber Lane Christmas Tree Farm in 2003.  Since then, Bill, his 3 sons, and Richard have planted thousands of Christmas trees on 30+ acres of the 4 generation family farm.

TLC Country Store opened in October of 2006.  We have grown very quickly and have a very large array of items to offer our customers due to local consignors allowing us to place their handmade crafts and arts for sale.  All items are unique, sold at fair prices and are of great quality.

In 2009 Timber Lane began selling its own matured trees where families could start a yearly tradition of visiting Timber Lane to choose and cut their own Christmas tree.

In 2022, Jon and Brenda Holesinger (brother to Bill) joined the business by purchasing a 25 acre tree farm that they are beginning to grow trees to locally source precut trees for future seasons.

For years, Judy Holesinger had a wonderful time looking through the items each consignor brings in and displaying them for the shopper's perusal and purchase.  In April, she lost her battle against cancer. While she will be missed greatly, we know she is celebrating the promise of Christmas every day pain-free in heaven.

We can't wait to see you when you come to visit!

Bill is currently the President of the Mid-America Christmas Tree Association and a Board member for the Illinois Christmas Tree Association. We are members of the Illinois Christmas Tree AssociationMid-America Christmas Tree Association, & the Morrison Chamber of Commerce.
